The 'How to Get into the Christmas Spirit' Guide!

Hello, my lovelies!

We are a little further into the beautiful month that is December and so I thought I’d try to give everyone some Christmas spirit and give you some Christmassy ideas of how to spend your lazy December days. So here is my ‘How to Get into the Christmas Spirit’ guide!

Number One: How to be Cosy
December is the first month of the season of winter and so that means that it is (usually in places such as the UK) very cold. I know many relaxing ways to keep warm during the winter season and so here are some tips for you all.

Have a nice, long, warm bath. The key to having an enjoyable bath (for me anyway!) is to put lots and lots of lavender-scented bubble bath mixture into your bath. I have a favourite bubble bath at the moment and it is called ‘Radox Relax Bath Soak’ with ‘lavender and waterlily’. It is a lavender-scented one which just makes you feel incredibly relaxed and is great in a hot bath. You will feel all sleepy and snuggly and Christmassy and just amazing once you’re out of the bath.

Get about 14 different blankets and snuggle on the sofa. This is one of the main reasons I love Christmas as it just gives you the excuse to hog the sofa and cuddle up to a heap of quilts and blankets without anyone questioning whether you’re too hot or not. You can also wear a onsie or, if you have a pet like me, you can snuggle with blankets, in a onsie, with your pet which is what I am doing here:

Whack out the hot chocolate and tea. This is something I do all year round anyway but it’s a great way of warming yourself up when you’re inside on a cold day. I prefer tea personally but let me know if you prefer tea or hot chocolate. It’ll be nice to know if I’m in the minority or the majority here.

Number Two: How to Decorate the House

Christmas is the best time to make your home even more home-y with lots of reds and greens and pretty fairy lights and tinsel and not feel like you’re going way too overboard. It’s also the only time of year where it is acceptable to have a huge piece of bark with leaves and stuff on it plopped in the middle of your front room but there we go. Here are a few ways to make Christmas in your home:

Get a tree from a park and put it in a room in your house or something. That’s always a good idea. This is known as ‘the Christmas Tree’ as you can decorate it with lots and lots of pretty things and it is a ‘symbol of Christmas’. My family’s Christmas Tree is actually a fake one where we just put it together every year instead of buying loads of different ones. We always put fairy lights on it, baubles, and lots and lots of Disney character Christmas Tree decorations. We then put a little angel on the top to make it all pretty.

Buy a nutcracker that rocks on a rocking horse. We have this because mum thought it was Christmassy and stuff.

Put a wreath on your front door. This makes Santa feel welcome when he comes and makes him more likely not to skip your house (number one, Santa IS real please do not question my knowledge and number two, he really does skip houses!) Also, decorate the house with lots of other Christmassy ornaments.

Number 3: How to Prepare for Christmas Day

The third and final step is the most important for me. This doesn’t mean to go out and buy the Christmas dinner or to wrap a load of awkwardly shaped Christmas presents. It means to do little exciting things that make the lead up to Christmas extra cute.

WATCH A CHRISTMAS FILM! This is a hugely important part of Christmas for me as, every year without fail, I watch ‘Elf’ with my family which is my favourite Christmas film. However, one I do recommend other than ‘Elf’ (as I know ‘Elf’ is an easy option for me to rave about) is ‘Nativity’ which stars a huge class of primary school kids and teachers and it is the cutest film ever.

LISTEN TO CHRISTMAS MUSIC! You WITHOUT FAIL should listen to some cheesy Christmas music such as Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ or ‘Last Christmas’ otherwise what is the point in Christmas, really? Pop it on your iPod, get a CD and listen to it in your car, whack on the Christmas music radios or whatever and you will be in a Christmassy mood, trust me.

Finally, OPEN YOUR ADVENT CALANDARS BECAUSE THERE IS CHOCOLATE AND STUFF. This is one of those things that doesn’t really need explaining as chocolate is the gift from the heavens and you should love chocolate regardless of whether you get a little Christmassy shaped treat each day of one month so show me all your advent calendars and we can compare and see who’s got the best one.

So this was a little different and I hope you all enjoyed it. If you did, if you could follow my blog on Google+ that would just be brilliant. Hope you all have a fantastic week and I’ll speak to you soon!

Love you loads.

What's in my winter bag?

Hello, my lovelies!

TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF DECEMBER WHICH BASICALLY MEANS CHRISTMAS IS HERE!

Anyone who knows me well enough knows that, this year, I’m looking forward to Christmas an extra special amount. This is because, firstly, it is my great nan’s 100th birthday and we devoting our Christmas Eve to celebrating it on behalf of her. Secondly, with my family, I’m going to Disneyland Paris from the 20th December to the 22nd December which I will be writing a blog post or posting a vlog up to my YouTube channel about my time there. Last but not least, my family and I are celebrating Christmas Day at my house (which we have never done before) so it will be a nice change. I’m so excited!

Since we are now in the magical month of December, I thought that this month should be devoted to winter through my beauty, music and life themes. So, for each Sunday of December, I will be doing my very best to put up a winter based post!

Today, I am going to be discussing what I have in my winter bag (trust me when I say the majority of the stuff inside has literally no use to me whatsoever!) and I will make sure to link some of the products I have in there after this post. Just a quick note, there won’t be any pictures this week as number 1, I look hideous today so I can’t take any of the products on me and number 2, I have so much college work to do it is actually ridiculous.

Okay so I’m going to start with some of the stuff that doesn’t really need links or anything along those lines. So first of all, I have a sketch book, a journal, and my college ID card. These were given to me by the college so I am not really sure of the company or the retailer they were from but I suppose that’s not such a huge deal. I also have my oyster card, my iPhone and my door keys which are essentials. I also have Terry’s Chocolate Orange Bar  wrappers which I am going to remove right now. :’) I usually carry around a bottle of water to keep me hydrated throughout the day too but apparently I went for the unhealthy option on Friday and bought a bottle of Diet Coke

Okay so now for my winter essentials. Throughout the winter, my lips are always incredibly dry and I usually bite them a lot which makes them even worse. This is because of the coldness and the wind and sometimes can be due to being de-hydrated. So I usually carry around some lip balm or lip gloss to prevent this. This is usually my little pot of Vaseline which is the most amazing stuff ever (for me) when it comes to chapped lips. As long as you apply it throughout the day, your lips should be mended by the evening.  It’s just so cool and I recommend it. J

I have literally just put into my bag my cream scarf, hat and mittens from Warehouse which me and my mum bought yesterday which are more expensive than we realised before getting to the counter. They are made of wool and are honestly so comfy. I bought them as I know I am going to be getting an awful lot of wear out of each of them and so I hope each of them serve their purpose for the price we bought them at. Since it’s winter, I recommend you all have some nice and warm bits and bobs such as a coat (like the Parka Coat I have or the new one I bought yesterday which I will do a review on soon maybe), a scarf, a hat, and some gloves as they could all help to prevent colds before Christmas so you don’t feel stuffy and miserable. I’ll put the link to Warehouse at the bottom of the blog post to the mittens and the rest of the set.

Right so that’s about it. I don’t really have an awful lot in my bag to do with winter, it seems so if you lot have any suggestions for wintery things I should own this year, let me know in the comments below this post for everyone else to see or let me know through any of my social networking sites.

I hope today’s post was useful for you lot and, next week, I’ll make sure to upload a post with lots of pictures for you!

I hope you all have a lovely week and I shall speak to you next Sunday!

Love you all lots

Album Review | Jessie J's 'Alive'

Hello, my lovelies!

In today’s post, I wanted to talk to you about my favourite album at the moment which is the wonderful Jessie J’s album; ‘Alive’. This album is honestly one of my most favourite albums ever alongside Ed Sheeran’s ‘+’, Example’s ‘Evolution of Man’, Michael Jackson’s ‘Off The Wall’, and Paramore’s ‘Brand New Eye’. I wish I listened to it much earlier than just three days before seeing her sing live in concert at the O2 but, regardless of that, I’m in love with it. In this post, I’ll have a little fangirl moment and you guys can chat back to me in the comments about how amazing the woman is if you fancy it!

Okay so my favourite up-beat song on the album is probably ‘Excuse My Rude’ ft. Becky G. I am just in love with it because it says, straight up, how basically all of us humans feel about that one certain person (the one we say we ‘hate’ on a daily basis). It speaks about all of the bad qualities in the person she hates and why she hates those qualities but she manages to do it in a humorous and catchy way. I believe this song will soon be quite big and could almost act as a ‘let off steam’ mechanism for the human race (or maybe, one day, a school like East High in High School Musical will break into song telling each other what they hate about each other with this song – I’m secretly hoping for that to be my college. That will turn out to be one of the most amazing experiences of my life; to be a part of a cheesy little musical!) Anyway, the tune of the song just makes you want to get up and dance even if you are fully against dancing. It’s true, it will.

‘Hero’ is the next song from the album that I am in love with. If anyone remembers Jessie’s first album, they will remember her very first single ‘Do It Like A Dude’ which was quite heavy and had a lot of punch to it. This song has that same punch and heavy-ness to it however, it has more meaning. We are told that Jessie J ‘don’t need no hero’ meaning that she doesn’t need to be in a relationship with someone to be happy. I love how this song allows you to just go crazy and gets you lost in it. It is not a typical ‘club’ song that you would hear in the current charts which is what makes the song stand out for me. This song live is also just flawless. I just love Jessie J full stop. She’s just brilliant.

As much as I love every song on the album (especially the two above), my absolute favourite song from the album is ‘Breathe’. This song is a slow ballad and it is great to sing along to with it at full volume. The off-beat parts of the chorus make it really interesting and just brilliant to listen to. Jessie J shows of her vocals (which I am SOOO jealous of) which are just out-of-this-world AMAZING. To be honest, you really really need to listen to all three of these amazing songs to understand my love for them. They are all perfect and amazing.

I hope you enjoyed today’s blog post guys. I hope you’re all having an amazing Sunday, hope your week is a good’un and speak to you next Sunday!

Love you all lots

I GOT RETWEETED BY TANYA BURR OMG WHAT?!

Hello, my lovelies!

I thought I’d do a ‘life’ blog post for you today and then next week, an album review of someone who I’ve been loving the sound of recently.

On Tuesday this week, I went back to my secondary school to collect my certificates for my GCSEs and to see some of my old friends. I wasn’t expecting anything too fancy or long so I wasn’t amazingly excited to go to it but now, I am so glad I went. We walked into the school and our old teachers gave us our yearbooks and our little DVDs full of memories made throughout the five years we had been there. Then we were directed up to the hall which looked absolutely stunning. There were drinks and food at the back of the hall and balloons attached to every chair in white and red. I’ll show you a picture that my friend took of it.

We were there for a good 3 hours listening to teachers giving speeches and receiving lots of different certificates and awards and, afterwards, we all got to stay and have a chat with old teachers and friends. It was honestly so lovely and I wanted to take an opportunity to say that I had the best 5 years at my school and thank you to anyone reading this who spent that time with me.

Also, I had the most amazing twitter experience this week. The YouTuber, Tanya Burr, posted a make-up tutorial on YouTube earlier this week (which I will link you to after this post is finished) of her re-creating Ariana Grande’s typical make-up look. I followed the tutorial and took pictures of myself with the make-up. Tanya sent out a tweet yesterday asking her viewers to tweet her pictures of their re-creations of Ariana’s look after following her tutorial so that she could retweet some and so, since I took my selfies already, I thought I might as well give it a go. BASICALLY I GOT NOTICED BY TAYNA BURR AND OH MY JESUS I NEEDED TO LIE DOWN AFTERWARDS. So that has literally made my week.

Screenshot of my RETWEET WHAT?!

To complete my week, I slept over at my cousin, Lucie’s house and we ordered a Chinese which took about 3 days to arrive. It was well worth it though as afterwards I don’t think I have ever been more hyper. While I was there, we rung my brother and his girlfriend up who are both over in Australia and we had a really nice chat. I don’t think I’ve truly realised how much I miss them until that moment when we had to let them go. Hopefully, I’ll be able to go over there and see them one day.

So I hope you liked today’s post guys! I’m going to post an album review next week so I hope you look forward to that.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend and I love you all lots.

October Favourites!

Hello, my lovelies!

I promised (knowing I could KEEP the promise ;)) the girlies who read this blog in my last post that I would be doing my ‘October Favourites’ in today’s post (a week late). Before I begin, I would like to reiterate that I am not being sponsored by any of these brands whether it is a beauty brand, a clothing shop or a chocolate bar factory. I am just writing this because I like the stuff I’m telling you about.

Beauty Favourites

Superdrug’s ‘Cucumber Cooling Clay Mask’

So my first beauty favourite of this month is hands down this face mask which is part of Superdrug’s own brand collection. Now if you are not from the UK, Superdrug is a shop that sells health and beauty essentials for men, women and children at relatively cheap prices. I got this facemask and 6 others to try out for 99p each and I will definitely be buying this amaze-balls product again! This face mask is my favourite out of the 6 I tried because it made my face feel so clean and fresh once I removed it. It also wasn’t irritating to my skin whilst it was on and I could almost feel it doing the job which is something I quite like (because I’m a freak). It states on the website that the product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans and so all of the things that were used to create this mask are organic and natural.

TRESemmé’s ‘Touchable Finish Hairspray – Ultimate Hold’

My second beauty favourite is this amazing hairspray. Recently, I got the first hair cut in six months (it’s disgusting, I know) with a side fringe and lots of layers. My hair is very hard to manage as it can be way too soft to style and my hair line has both a ‘widow’s peak’ and a ‘cow’s lick’ making it hard for me to have any type of fringe. This hairspray is amazing for me because, not only does it hold my barely manageable fringe in place on a night out, but it also makes my hair much more style-able as it gets rid of the awkward softness when I do not need it. The spray also helps to make my hair gain more volume so that it doesn’t look dull and lifeless. You can purchase this hairspray from virtually any beauty store but I believe I got mine from Boots for £5.25. I’ll be giving you the links to the website’s after this post so that you can check out all of the prices and any other products that are similar and that you may be interested in!

Favourite Clothing Items

Parka Coat from the Teen Section at New Look

Now one of the only reasons I got this (I have no regrets to admit) was because Zoe posted a picture of one that she bought from Topshop online. I went into Topshop to see how much their coats were and let’s just say I walked straight out of the shop towards the cheaper section of Bluewater. I came across a much more simple version of the Parka coat in New Look and I fell in love with it instantly…only to later find out that I had just bought the aged 14-15 coat which actually was too big. Regardless, I love it as it is nice and snug and it has a cute furry rimmed hood which makes me feel like a lion. I bought this coat for £17 with my NUS card but the original price was £20 so go get it while it’s in store if you like it as much as I do!

Favourite October Treats!

Terry’s ‘Chocolate Orange Milk Chocolate Bar’

There isn’t an awful lot to say about this other than it tastes of what heaven should be like. I’ve only just discovered my love for these and I’m still eating them all the way into November on a slightly unhealthy daily basis. All I can say is go out and buy them. RIGHT NOW. You will love me forever…while you’re out, buy me 10 packs, please.

'Primary Image' of heaven.

I really hope that this post was entertaining and useful in some ways for you guys. Next week, I’ll be doing something for everybody so it won’t just be a girly post.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekends, have a lovely week and I will speak to you next Sunday!
Love you all lots

I Don't Like Promises I Can't Keep!

Hello, my lovelies!

I thought I would talk to you about something I’ve learnt this week…and that is to never make promises that you do not know for sure if you can keep.

In my last blog post, I spoke about how this half term, I would be focusing on my YouTube account and I would be filming vlogs for it throughout the week…to be completely honest, I didn’t get an awful lot of footage due to plans not working out and just plain laziness on my part. So basically, what I’m trying to say is I probably will not be uploading a ‘Half Term Vlog’ any time soon. I would like to apologise to anyone who may be a little disappointed by this but I would like to say that if anybody happens to still be interested in what I did manage to film, I will try and edit the video whenever I get any free time throughout the week to hopefully upload next week or the week after.

Luckily, I have realised through not keeping a promise that I can talk to you about something different. I have understood now that I cannot take on as many things at a time as I have; these things being my college work, my homework, my blog and all of the other things surrounding work and hobbies. So what I have decided to do through this is to still keep my blog as a regular ‘post on Sunday’ thing but make my YouTube a ‘post whenever you have a good idea’ kind of routine. This is because I have also realised that when you take on too many things, the things you enjoy do not seem all that fun anymore which is what I felt when I wasn’t filming my vlog this week.

For the girls that read this blog, I am going to get back into doing my make-up reviews and, next week, I will attempt to do an ‘October Favourites’ blog post (a week late, I know!) and so I hope you enjoy those and for basically everybody, in a couple of weeks, I will attempt another one of those music reviews you guys seemed to like (probably because of my ‘bitch about Miley Cyrus’ approach last time!).

So basically, what I’m trying to say is that next week I will be back to normal! I hope you are all okay and safe and well and I hope you have a great week (regardless of it being ‘back to school’ week…*cries)

Love you lots

P.S.(she probably will not see this but...) I would like to say a huuuuuge congratulations to Zoe for winning 'Best British Vlogger' with BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards! You are a true inspiration to everyone. xx

Half Term = Vlog Week!

Hello, my lovelies!

It’s half term (finally!) and I wanted to let you know about a little project I’m going to be doing throughout this next week…

So I’ve had thoughts about doing some YouTube videos for quite some time and, now that I already have a YouTube channel and a week off from college, I figured it is the perfect time to get it started!
I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing or how to make them interesting or funny or useful or not weird or anything like that so I’m just going to let the week go by and see what stuff I can film. During the week, I will be going to my other grandad’s 70th birthday do, Camden, college (*cries), Jessie J Concert, a Halloween party, and my best friend’s birthday trip around Landannnn. So it seems I have quite a bit to film.
Basically, all of the things I mentioned above are hopefully all going to be merged into one long vlog of my half term for you all to have a look at and hopefully like and enjoy and stuff…yeah.

I wanted to write a blog post on this because, since I am just starting on YouTube, I would absolutely LOVE if anyone wanted to film a video with me doing something similar to Zoe and the rest of the YouTubers. As long as I know who you are and you have a nice idea on a great video, I will be super happy to make a video with you.

Sorry about how short this post is; I’m currently cleaning my room so that I can get money to fund this week’s shenanigans…

I will leave you now to enjoy your Sunday so wish me luck and I’ll speak to you next Sunday!

I love you guys lots!

Dealing With Panic Attacks & Being You

Hello, my lovelies!

I’m feeling very nervous about today’s post as I’m sharing something personal with you all. I wanted to put two things together in today’s post; dealing with panic attacks and being yourself. Usually, I don’t take my blog incredibly seriously as I just see it as something that is an entertainment to you guys reading it and to me writing it. However, today, I think I need to address these two things a little more seriously than I normally would address most other subjects so I apologise if you are not entertained, but I’m equally hoping you all take it seriously too.  Anyway, I’ll get to it.

I understand that the majority of you guys reading this are people I know and could be quite close to and so you probably know that I suffer from panic attacks from time to time and, if I’m completely honest, they are not very nice. At all. From what I have researched, I have gathered that panic attacks can range from being quite mild to being very serious. I wouldn’t say mine are serious but they aren’t mild either.  Whenever I have a panic attack, it will start as butterflies in my tummy, then I get a slight headache which becomes progressively worse and feels like there is a large weight in my brain rolling from one side of my head to another. My butterflies then travel through the rest of my body making my heartbeat faster than normal which sometimes makes me feel quite stiff or sometimes makes me feel quite sick. Sometimes, my hands will start to shake if the panic attack is bad. If I were in an exam or an assembly when I first got panic attacks, I would have just sat there feeling nauseous and dizzy and I would bite my lip or pinch my stomach to distract myself from the thought of being sick. If I were at home, I would sit in my room and cry until it went away.

I would get panic attacks for the most stupid reasons. Before I went into exams in school, I would refuse to eat most of my lunch because I felt so nervous and scared of puking it up and so I would go into the exam room hungry. Then, right in the middle of an exam when it was deafeningly quiet, my stomach would rumble and would trigger my panic of someone hearing it. I would also panic when I had to sit still in an assembly. I would panic when having to present something to the class, when in a music lesson my teacher would let us all know that our recordings of us playing instruments and singing were up on the ‘Shared Drive’ for everyone to listen to each other’s work, and when I was (on very rare occasions) getting told off. Another thing I would panic about would have been if I had an argument with someone I love and felt like I hadn’t said all I had needed to say which sounds horrible but it just made me panic! It might sound stupid to some people and I completely understand that reaction but I can honestly from the bottom of my heart tell you that a panic attack is not something I would wish upon anybody.

After the early stages of my panic attacks I knew I couldn’t cope any longer without dealing with it and luckily, I was supported. I went to a place in my school called the ‘LSU’ where I became friends with a girl who suffers with panic attacks like me and we were both supported by a really lovely teacher who I am incredibly grateful to. Instead of sitting in the middle of the hall for assemblies, we would sit at the back near a door for reassurance that we could leave if we needed to, but we didn’t because by doing this, we felt safer. We were given the option to sit near a door in the exam room too which I passed but I wish I didn’t now. We were also given the advice to buy some lavender oil (which if you’re interested, I got it from Boots) which we would either put in our baths the night before an exam or put a few drops on our sleeves as a comfort smell throughout the day. I began to eat a little more in the mornings after having all of this advice given to me and I felt a little better. However, I wish I had been to get this help a little earlier on as my exam results did drop some of my overall grades for GCSE down slightly.

After having all of this help and support, I rarely get panic attacks but I have taken to seeing the head of exams at my new college asking for a separate exam room for any A Level exams I have. My panic attacks have always affected the way I have seen myself and before and during my first stages of panic attacks, I didn’t feel like being ‘me’ was good enough. That’s not to say that I was depressed because I wasn’t. I just thought that my personality, the music I enjoyed, my love of being musical and creative, and everything else about me was wrong and weird. But I can now say that, after all of this support I have had, I’m not afraid of that anymore in the way I used to be. I have had this realisation that, if everyone else around me is being who they want to be and they are happy in their own skin, why can’t I be? Why do I feel that I’m ‘not good enough’ for people who I barely even know? So now, I’m writing a blog, I’m singing in front of the smallest of crowds (which is a huge thing for me), and I’m incredibly happy. I feel like I’ve said this in every blog post but I just can’t believe how natural it feels to state it.

So, the moral of this whole blog post is that if something or someone is getting you down and you feel like you can’t do anything about it, or that nobody cares about you, or that you are not just as important as every other being around you…you CAN do something about it, there IS somebody who cares about you, and YOU…YOU ARE just as important as every single one of the people on this planet. You really are.
So there we are guys. That was a part of my life that I’m so glad to say I’ve shared with you because I know some of you reading this feel the exact same way as I did and may have (hopefully) gained something from this.

For any of you who are experiencing panic attacks, or for any of you that know somebody who is going through them, I found an incredibly useful NHS article online which talks about dealing with panic attacks. Here is the link to that for you: http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/stress-anxiety-depression/Pages/coping-with-panic-attacks.aspx

I love you all very much.

Mad Month! (September - October)

Hello, my lovelies!

So much has happened this month that I thought I would share it with you in a ‘life’ blog post. Before I begin, I would just like to say that if you would like to see me blog about a certain make-up brand, song, or aspect of life, I will do my best to cover it for you. Also, if you are interested in reading a post about panic attacks, let me know and I’ll give it my all to write something about things that could help you with coping with them.

I’ve been at college for just over a month now but it honestly feels like it’s been so much longer (in a good way!) I have had the opportunity to make new friends and I am now close to quite a few of them. I enjoy all of my subjects now (even art) and I feel like these next 2 years may not be as difficult as I thought they would be. However, if you do happen to think that taking 4 coursework based subjects means that you don’t have to do much revision or work, you are very wrong and if you say it to my face, I will have a breakdown. The amount of coursework I’ve been carting home is ridiculous and I now not only have a messy room full of clothes, but a messy room full of paint and card and glue. I have now taken to having a mat permanently laid out across my carpet in my room! Although it is a lot of work, I’m so glad that I took those subjects and chose to go to my college; it sounds cliche but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Here are some pictures of me looking like a mess with my friends at college and my messy arty room:

In college, we have a day called ‘Collegiate Day’ when “the whole community comes together to compete against each other in an academic, physical, and creative battle to win the title of 1st place for their house!” Before it started, I was adamant that nobody would care, just as they wouldn’t have cared in secondary school. I was wrong. At least 10 people in both tasks I went to took the challenges very seriously (my tasks were ‘Make-Overs’ and ‘Cupcake Decorating’ so you can see the level of ‘seriousness’ we had to have there) and they almost ran the whole thing by themselves which I’m not complaining about at all. Without that push, I probably would have eaten the cupcakes before the challenge began. The ending of collegiate day was really something, though. We were all directed into our little canteen (the whole year group – it’s quite a large year group) to get the results. In secondary school, when we had to wait for results, we would be told to stay silent so it was quite a shock for me when I saw people standing on tables, screaming out their house names and practically jumping on top of each other! After all that, however, my house didn’t even bloody win!

I also organised a little meet up with people from my secondary school where we went to the Harvester and had a chat about our colleges. It was great to see them all as some of them I hadn’t seen properly since we left secondary. It’s great knowing that I can make new friends in a new environment and still keep some great ones that I made in 5 years of growing up in secondary school. Here is a picture of me and one of my lovely friends at the harvester:

Before that (and I have briefly mentioned this in a post before) I went to a very good friend of mine’s birthday gathering where I met some of the most lovely people. I met my ‘DMC buddy’ and got to see some people I hadn't seen in a year. Here are some pictures from that too (to the people that were there…sorry if I've embarrassed you!):

One of the people I met at the gathering was lovely enough to invite me and my best friend to her 17th birthday party last night and it was amazing! I know that it was amazing mainly because my legs are in a fair bit of pain, my shoes (my mum’s shoes actually…oh dear) are very muddy, and my ears are still buzzing. I’m so happy that I saw all of the friends I made at the gathering there and met some new people there too. At times, I felt awkward, but I knew it didn't matter how awkward I felt because I was putting myself out there and making friends on my own for the first time in ages. Here are some photos from last night:

I know some people may read this blog and think “this girl is so strange!” Yes. Yes I am strange. But I am incredibly proud to say that I no longer care and meeting all of these new people and getting invited to all of these different places gives me the confidence to not care and also to realise that people appreciate that sometimes.

Thank you for reading this, guys.
I love you all very much.

20 Facts About Me!

Hello, my lovelies!

Today, I thought I’d share 20 facts about myself for you all (as I checked my ‘Stats’ and I see some of you guys are from Indonesia and America which is bloody mental!)
So here we go…

1. My full name is Megan Rose Louise Guy. Louise is my confirmation name and I picked it because when I was younger, I pretended my name was Louise as I thought the name was pretty.

2. I play acoustic guitar, I sing, I play some piano (but quite badly) and I have two ukuleles which I STILL haven’t learnt to play yet (I got them both two Christmas’ ago. I WILL LEARN OKAY?!)

3. I love art. Sometimes when I have relaxation days, I’ll sit at home and just draw. It’s really sad I know but, given the opportunity and lots of interesting ideas, I’ll sit and make art for hours. Here's some of my artwork...

4. Before you get to know me, I appear socially awkward. That will never change. However, I used to be just as bad with my friends and those closest to me but now I can talk to them without feeling like I’m annoying them…even if I probably am!

5. Tea is my heaven.

6. I have an older brother and a younger sister and there are huge age gaps between the three of us.

7. I have a wall of photographs. It’s partly to do with the whole ‘I love art and rainbows and unicorns’ thing I’ve got going on but it’s also because I have a terrible memory so I have dedicated my biggest wall to my fondest memories. I will continue to fill it up until it goes all the way around my room.

8. I am 16 and am in college even though I act and am around the same height as a 10 year old.

9. I have an addiction with watching YouTubers. I LOVE Zoe (as you already know), Marcus, Alfie, Charlie, Carrie, Jim, Tayna, Caspar and oh my Jesus SO MANY OTHERS. I am seriously interested in becoming a YouTuber so soon, I may be announcing this but probably not because I’m a wimp.

10. I am really into photography. I just love exploring different aspects of the world and creatively capturing them…did you like my use of words there?

11. I have four cousins who are practically my sisters. I spend so much time with them all and I still haven’t got sick of them after 16 years. Well done, girlies!

12. My best friends honestly mean the world to me. Even though they take the mick out of me at least once every time they see me, I love them so much and I hope they see this post. Hi, guys!

13. I honestly have no idea whether I am ginger or blonde. I am told differently by different people every single day so I am very …VERY confused.

14. I’m quite a girly girl. I love make up, clothes and hair products although strangely, I’m not a ‘shoe’ girl. I have no idea about shoes so I just end up taking my mum’s.

15. I really have enjoyed writing this blog! I love the feedback I have got from it and hope to continue this and inspire more people through it.

16. I HATE sweets. I love chocolate to the point where it could be the death of me. But sweets, I can’t stand them.

17. I used to suffer from panic attacks through my GCSE stages. It’s not something I’ve written about on here as I thought Zoe did a pretty amazing job of it on her YouTube channel and blog but if you’re interested in me sharing my story or giving tips on how to deal with them, drop a comment or tweet me or email me using the blog email address which is meganroseguyblog@hotmail.co.uk

18. I hate almost every single sport except from swimming and running on a running machine. I’m one of those people who would have always been picked last to join a team in primary or early secondary school because I would just chat to my friends so I didn’t have to get involved.

19. I got my ears pierced only 3 months ago because I was too scared to get them pierced earlier in case I burst into tears of agony and died…

20. In future (hopefully the near future) I would like to take a trip to Australia to visit my amazing brother and his amazing girlfriend and go sightseeing with them, just as we did when they both came to visit us.

So there we go, guys! Those are 20 facts about me for you all. I hope you enjoyed this post just as much as I enjoyed writing it. Again, thanks for all the support. I can’t tell you how grateful I am.
